So after years of just bumming off my roommates 360 and getting a place for myself and lady friend I think its time for me to buy a legit gaming system. Basically what Im looking for is just something that I can play some online racing on with a wheel and some hockey when I become inevitably angry with other drivers. My question is what should I go for? Id really like a game that has Watkins Glen (my home track, literally my home as well) which so far as I can tell is just Project Cars at this point meaning XBone or Ps4. Id like to keep my price as low as possible but I dont want to cheap out on a wheel so a good recommendation there would be great.

Xbone has the biggest potential.
Turn 10 is trying to get a bunch of tracks from around the world mapped, I’d bet the Glen is on the list.

I like my PS4, but the XBOne gets Forza (which I prefer over Gran Turismo). You also get Project Cars and Asseto Corsa when it arrives on console. Plus Halo and other exclusives.
You can’t really go wrong with any system, though.

I havent played forza recently but Ive preferred gran turismo in the past and I dont really like halo but I do like dark souls, so I really guess it does just come to personal preference

Sorry man, but it’s gotta be a PC. You don’t need to build it right just right now, you can get a decent build for cheap and upgrade it as you go, while buying a console gets you stuck at that one system until the next one comes out. Plus, there is a wide variety of games, and Steam prices are a massive perk.

Even though you don’t think a PC is feasible, you can get something that will run games for around $500. Really with the price of a Playstation 4 or Xbox One you are at the same price. As you save and the Steam sales happen you will be able to get Project Cars, iRacing, and just about any other game as very few titles are Console only (looking at you Nintendo).

Sounds like a strong case for a PS4 (there’s no way DS3 is going to be an exclusive). It’s a great system and I would buy one again if I had to.
